Waveland Beach
Fed by the Jordan River, this nutrient rich coast is shallow and calm.....great for fishing, sunbathing, birdwatching, and kayaking (not body surfing).
Wetlands
Buccaneer State Park, McLeod State Park, and Jordan River Blueways are also great places to explore the wetlands.
Kayaking
Shallow water makes kayaking easy for the beginner. Launch off the beach or paddle Jordan or Wolf Rivers. There are also launch sites at the end of North Beach Blvd and another at the Washington State Pier at Washington Street and South Beach Blvd. Washington Pier allows for closest access to man made reef about 1 mile out.
Biking
Biking in the best way to get around. Wave as you by and you'll get an immediate greeting! There is a 3-5 block radius in Bay St Louis of shops and restaurants.
Food by the Marina
You're in the South, so food is never a miss! Try The Blind Tiger, Mockingbird Cafe, The Sycamore House, The Cuevas Bistro, Trapani's, The Buttercup Cafe, and Serious Bread Company.
Shops in Bay St Louis
A wonderful artist community with potters and painters, you'll find plenty to browse and something special to take home!
....Boarding
From Kiteboarding to paddleboarding.....it's only a 29 min drive to Gulfport for lessons and rentals at Gulfport Board Sports.
Boat Cruises
Ship Island for a nice day trip off the coast to blue water. There are common sightings of bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, and stingrays.
Stennis Space Center
The Infinity Space Center is located on Hwy 90, 10 min west.
Cajun Encounters Swamp Tours out of Slidell, Louisiana make for a fun morning of bird watching and, hopefully, gator spotting!
